Booking Terms and Conditions – Cuilpilapan Miravalles

At Cuilpilapan Miravalles, we strive to offer safe, well-organized, and memorable experiences. Please read the following policies carefully before making your reservation, as by confirming your participation you agree to all the terms set forth below.

1. Customer Responsibility

By making a reservation, the client declares that they have read and understood the detailed information of each tour, including:

• Distance and duration of the route
• Level of difficulty
• Rates and specific conditions

The client is responsible for choosing the tour that best suits their physical condition and level of experience.

Physical condition: If the participant selects a tour that is not suitable for their physical capacity, our staff may deny participation for safety reasons. This measure aims to prevent accidents, injuries, or situations that may affect the group’s experience.

Medical conditions: If the participant suffers from any illness or medical condition (e.g., hypertension, asthma, diabetes, severe allergies, among others), it is their full responsibility to bring the necessary medication and inform the guide before starting the activity. Cuilpilapan Miravalles is not responsible for any medical complications resulting from failure to comply with this obligation.

By booking, the client agrees to participate at their own risk and acknowledges that outdoor activities involve exposure to natural factors beyond the company’s control.

2. Booking Confirmation

To secure your spot and help us organize groups and schedules, a deposit is required at the time of booking:

• National visitors: ₡7,000
• International visitors: $15 USD

This amount will be deducted from the total payment on the day of your visit.

3. Payment Methods

You can make your deposit or payment using any of the following options:

• SINPE Móvil or bank transfer
• Online payments using credit or debit card
• Cryptocurrency payments (USDT) through Binance

4. Advance Booking and Discounts

Reservations can be made up to 2 hours before the start of the tour, subject to availability.

• If you book one week in advance, you will receive a 10% discount on the total tour price.
• If you book one week in advance and your group has 6 or more people, you will receive a 12% discount.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

• The deposit is refundable only if cancellation is made at least 24 hours in advance.
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance are non-refundable, as tour spaces and logistics will already be assigned.
• In case of a refund, the amount may be affected by processing fees related to the payment method used (e.g., online platforms or international transfers).

6. Weather Conditions

In the event of adverse weather conditions that pose a real safety risk (such as thunderstorms, strong winds, or landslides), the tour may be canceled or rescheduled at the discretion of the guide or management.

If the tour is canceled for safety reasons, the client may choose to reschedule the activity or request a full refund of the deposit.

In the case of rain or mild conditions that do not compromise safety, the tours will proceed as normal, as these are part of the natural environment of the experience.

7. Pets

For reasons of hygiene, safety, and environmental conservation, pets are not allowed during tours or in trail areas. This policy aims to maintain a healthy, safe, and respectful environment for both visitors and local wildlife.

8. Self-Guided Tours

In self-guided tours, visitors commit to following all safety instructions provided by the staff before starting the tour.

• The participant must carry and properly use the communication device (radio) at all times.
• It is mandatory to maintain periodic contact with the staff to report progress and location.
• The visitor acknowledges having received information about the route, risks, checkpoints, and safety rules.

Cuilpilapán Miravalles has insurance coverage, first aid equipment, and trained staff to respond to emergencies. However, when participating in a self-guided tour, the visitor assumes full responsibility for their own safety and agrees to follow the given recommendations.

Failure to comply with these rules may result in immediate suspension of the tour without refund.

9. Safety and General Rules

• All participants must follow the instructions of the guide or staff throughout the activity.
• Cuilpilapan Miravalles reserves the right to remove any participant who fails to follow safety rules or behaves in a way that endangers others.
• The consumption of alcohol or illegal substances before or during the tour is not permitted.
• The company is not responsible for loss or damage of personal belongings during the activity.

10. Acceptance of Terms

By confirming your reservation, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions, as well as the discount, cancellation, weather, safety, pet, self-guided tour, and health policies described herein.
